In today’s news, United States supports response to pandemic in South Sudan, astronomers detect neutral hydrogen from beyond our galaxy, Germany prepares to stop burning coal, Singapore requires standardized packaging for tobacco products, mental health doctors fly to reach Indigenous children, Israeli company readies 3D printer for alternative meat market, and two hundred and eighty rescued animals are airlifted from Puerto Rico.

The United States, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, has donated US$4.5 million through its Agency for International Development (USAID) to protect communities in South Sudan from COVID-19.

The funds are being distributed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which is working with government authorities to coordinate the country’s pandemic response. People in densely populated area of Juba, the capital city, will be provided with soap and water buckets, and will also benefit from a network of public handwashing stations in places such as markets and busy transit hubs. Screening procedures at key points of entry will be enhanced, and front-line health and humanitarian workers will receive personal protective equipment. Thank you, United States government and International Organization for Migration! In Heaven’s radiant smile, may your oneness with the people of South Sudan bolster their resilience and confidence in a brighter future.

World’s largest radio telescope tunes in signals from outside the Milky Way.

The unique receiving dish in Guizhou, China, is 500 meters in diameter. In July 2020, an international research team detected radio waves coming from neutral hydrogen beyond our galaxy. The discovery of the gas is significant because, in combination with other data, it allows scientists to estimate the dynamic mass of a galaxy and may aid their understanding of what is known as dark matter. The mysterious term is used to refer to about 27% of the universe that is invisible to human eyes. Even though they cannot see it, astronomers know it exists because it is the only possible source of the gravity that holds galaxies together. Outstanding news, international researchers! Your exploration of deep space offers us a fresh perspective on our place in the cosmos and reminds us to be always humble and grateful to the Providence.

Up next, Germany prepares to stop burning coal. We would like to thank the otolaryngologists, who specialize in caring for our sensitive ears, nose, and throat. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more praiseworthy news.

Hi, selfless friends! I’m Savannah the vegan American Bison and I can share with you a personal secret to look younger than your age. Just be vegan! Here is an easy way to prepare bell peppers. Start by cutting off the stem at its base. Hold the pepper with its bottom up and slice down the sides, turning it as you go. This method yields several panels of the fruit and avoids the seeds, which may be discarded. For additional cutting into strips or chunks, your work will be easier if you flatten the panels and turn them skin side down on the cutting board. Thank you for tuning in, and much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Now, the weather around the world!

German parliament approves bill to phase out coal and reduce carbon emissions.

The legislative package includes incentives for power plants burning hard coal to close as soon as possible and no later than 2033. Companies that mine lignite and the operators that use it for fuel will have until 2038 to shut down. Meanwhile, more than €40 billion will be provided to regions that have historically produced coal as well as to employees affected by the end of fossil fuels. The government will conduct periodic reviews to determine whether the end dates can be advanced. Germany is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and a Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate. We applaud your steps in the right direction, Germany. May your carbon reduction strategies be complemented by a national transition to plant-based eating, in the light of God's wisdom.

Ministry of Health implements new requirements for tobacco packaging in Singapore.

After having a year to prepare for the changes, the country’s tobacco industry must now sell its products using plain designs with graphic health warnings that are 25% bigger. The mandate is the latest phase of a national campaign to discourage smoking and promote a tobacco-free environment. Elements such as logos, bright colors and images as well as promotional wording have all been removed from cartons and wrappers to make cigarettes, cigars and other products visually unappealing. Those who violate the law will face fines of up to US$7,200, imprisonment for up to six months, or both for first offenders. Encouraging news, Singapore! We pray that other nations will emulate your good governance and enact legislation that protects their citizens and makes it easier for them to return to their Original Natures, in Divine upliftment.

Isolated Aboriginal students receive mental health support.

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) of Australia has been caring for patients in isolated areas since 1928. Recently, it partnered with Headspace, an organization focused on the well-being of young people, to provide children attending schools in the outback with mental wellness services. Ordinarily, it takes close to nine hours of driving to reach Oodnadatta Aboriginal School from the nearest sizable city. However, the RFDS can fly there in about 90 minutes to offer mindfulness and deep breathing classes, as well as individual counseling. According to team leader Justine Cooney, making these trips is worthwhile because face-to-face therapy sessions with at-risk individuals help to prevent acute situations in regions where emergency services are not available. Our sincere appreciation, Royal Flying Doctor Service and Headspace! May your praiseworthy efforts be blessed and your merit be immense, in Celestial favor and protection.

Coming up, Israeli company readies 3D printer for alternative meat market. It’s time to pray for total peace in our world, and that all nations and groups will reconcile their differences in respect and understanding. More significant news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Conducive News for a Favorable World.

Redefine Meat, a Shining World Protection Award recipient, launches 3D-printed meatless steak in Israel.

The startup, which began as Jet Eat in 2018, is ready to trial its meat substitute entree at high-end restaurants around the country. As acceptance gains momentum, the company’s strategy is to sell its unique 3D printers to local meat distributors. Instead of needing to source, transport and store prime cuts from around the world, domestic wholesalers will be able to print the alt-beef they need to supply chefs and butchers. The high-tech machines are roughly the size of a large refrigerator, and their three “ink” cartridges contain plant-based ingredients that are processed to mimic the appearance, texture and taste of meat from an animal. Subsequent versions of the software will enable the production of chicken, pork, lamb and red tuna alternatives. Three cheers, Redefine Meat, for leading the way toward a compassionate, vegan future.

Rescued furry companions start new lives in United States.

The Sato Project is a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs in Puerto Rico. Since 2011, the charity has rehabilitated more than 4,000 street dogs and relocated them to the northeastern United States for adoption. With the arrival of COVID-19 in early 2020, stay-at-home orders and travel restrictions impacted the organization’s mission, leaving hundreds of dogs stranded on the island. But on July 4, in collaboration with Wings of Rescue, Freekibble and GreaterGood.org, a chartered plane made two flights to transport 253 dogs and 27 cats from San Juan to the US mainland. Our hearts are gladdened, The Sato Project and benevolent partners! May your exceptional efforts on behalf of Heaven’s four-legged angels inspire all of us to go the extra mile and care for each other, just as the Divine looks after us. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Gladly present the Shining World Compassion Award to The Sato Project, plus US$10,000 as a humble contribution to further your noble, caring work, with so much love and gratitude. Also, special thanks to Wings of Rescue, Freekibble and GreaterGood.org. May all involved be forever safeguarded and blessed, in Heavens’ grace.”

And now, for your daily dose of giggles, it’s the joke of the day entitled, “Wishful Thinking.”

After a week of counting calories, drinking more water and jogging around the block, Alice wanted to see if her strict routine had made a difference. So she put on a pair of jeans and was immediately pleased with how much better they fit.

She called out to her husband: “Honey, look! These jeans are loose on me now!”

“Alice , those are mine.”

And now we have a heartline from Ji-One in the United States:

I’m living with my 18-year-old vegan dog companion, a little Maltese, six pounds (2.7 kg). She has never caught a cold and grew up healthy without any enteritis, which is common in dogs. The veterinarian who has been seeing her from puppyhood said that she seems to be healthy because she grew up on a veg diet. And he started to keep veg pet foods in his veterinary clinic. He knows that the veg diet is good for a dog’s health. In the past, I had to make  her vegan pet food as it was not easily available. However, there is a large variety of vegan foods and snacks for companion animals nowadays. With nutritious, hand-made vegan meals and various products for companion animals, it’s much easier to take care of my dog companion. As Supreme Master TV has been broadcasting, many people have changed their perception and many new vegan products are giving people more choices. Well-known giant companies and influential celebrities are showing much interest in investing and developing these products, so we’re expecting to see more variety in the future. As I’ve been working in Loving Hut for 10 years, I can see the growing number of vegans every year, especially in these past two, three years. Master, who loves everything that exists. I give You endless love that can’t be expressed with any expression. I’d also like to express my gratitude to the Supreme Master TV team who work hard to spread positive and various beneficial news. Ji-One from the United States

Good-natured Ji-One, Thank you for introducing your delightful canine companion. We are pleased to hear that a large selection of vegan dog food is available in the US and hope that soon all veterinarians will promote cruelty-free foods for the better well-being of our precious animal buddies. Best wishes for the continued good health of your dear dog friend. With much love to you and the noble citizens of the United States, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master has a message for you: “Understanding Ji-One, my dogs are also all vegan, all animals naturally want to eat vegan, and we treat our animal companions with genuine love and kindness when we give them only plant-based meals. It is encouraging to hear of all the new vegans you have seen while working at Loving Hut. God’s abiding care to you and the faithful people of the United States.”
