Japan supports vulnerable children in Lebanon.

The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, has extended an Emergency Grant Aid of US$1.3 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in response to the impact of the massive explosions in Beirut Port, Lebanon, on September 4, 2020. This contribution will be used to help repair three primary health care facilities and a central medicine supply warehouse to maintain medical services such as mental health care and immunizations for approximately 300,000 people in Lebanon, including expectant and nursing mothers, children and adolescents. In addition, UNICEF will provide medical equipment and repair the buildings of several hospitals and emergency medical facilities. Our heartfelt gratitude, Japan, for assisting Lebanon in her time of need. Thank you also, UNICEF, for all you do. In Heaven’s overflowing love, may the gentle people of Lebanon soon embrace a bright and safe future.

Scientists witness rare event where a black hole swallows a star.

International scientists led by researchers from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom recently witnessed the swallowing of a star by a black hole. The rare event occurred 215 million light-years away in the Eridanus constellation in another galaxy. Observed over a period of six months, strands of the star’s material moved into the black hole, releasing bright energetic flares which then faded away. Multiple telescopes from around the world were used to observe the event known as AT 2019qiz while viewing different wavelengths of light including visible, x-ray, radio and ultraviolet. Our appreciation, astronomers from the University of Birmingham and other nations, for allowing us to bear witness to this fascinating event. May your research continue to expand our understanding of the magnificent universe in which we live, as we gaze at the stars in awe and wonder.

Up next, Croatian post introduces micro electric cars. We are going to thank radio producers who develop and manage the wonderful audio content of radio broadcasts. Please stay for more enhancing news on Supreme Master Television.

Good day, inquisitive viewers, I am Becky the vegan Black Rhino! It’s a wonderful life – for all beings. So live and let live – be vegan! Today, we are happy to share a tip from our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai. “Rewarming a French baguette is a good idea as you never know who has touched it in the supermarket. It’s cleaner and more crispy that way. Should you happen to overheat it and the crust is too hard, just wet a face towel, wring all the water out, and wrap the baguette for 30 to 40 seconds, then press it gently to flatten it the way you want for your sandwich. It’s still crispy but not too bulky nor too hard as to hurt your gums. Enjoy! God loves you kids!” We love You, Supreme Master Ching Hai! Thank You for this food safety suggestion. We look forward to trying it on our next delectable vegan sandwich. Much love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Thank you for watching. And now for the weather around the world.

Croatia adds 20 new electric quadricycles to its postal fleet.

To decrease carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency, the Croatian Post has expanded its green fleet to 220 electric vehicles. This includes 40 four-wheelers, capable of reducing up to 15.2 metric tons of transportation pollution per year. Co-financed through the country’s Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, each new quadricycle has a luggage tank volume of 300 liters, a load capacity of 150 kilograms, and can travel 45 kilometers per hour with a 60 kilometer range when fully charged. These efforts move Croatia closer to its Paris Agreement goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 40% by 2030. What an impressive innovation in making daily delivery services more eco-friendly, Croatian government! May more countries implement similar bright ideas to quickly lower our world’s carbon emissions.

2020 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine awarded to scientists for discovering the hepatitis C virus, thus helping to solve a major global health problem.

The coveted award will be presented to Dr. Harvey J. Alter and Dr. Charles M. Rice of the United States and Dr. Michael Houghton of the United Kingdom. The Nobel committee stated that the findings of the three awardees made in the 1980s were “a landmark achievement in the ongoing battle against viral diseases.” It is estimated that 71 million people worldwide live with a chronic infection of the hepatitis C virus, a blood-borne pathogen. Thanks to the scientists’ discovery, millions of lives have been saved through the availability of highly accurate blood tests and new medicine to detect and treat the virus. Our sincere accolades, Dr. Harvey J. Alter, Dr. Michael Houghton and Dr. Charles M. Rice, for your marvelous work! In God’s all-encompassing goodness, may the lives of all beings be nurtured as we move towards a vegan era of well-being.

Caring Indian couple provide free education to children affected by the pandemic.

Virendra Gupta, a former diplomat, and his singer wife, Veena Gupta, started offering free schooling in the Indian capital of New Delhi to disadvantaged youngsters after schools were closed due to the COVID-19 lockdowns.

Lacking internet access, the children had no means to continue their education.

Learning of the situation, the couple set up an open-air school under a leafy banyan tree on a quiet roadside. Dozens of children aged four to 14 walk over two kilometers daily to attend. With help from their driver, Heera, classes in mathematics, science, English and physical education are held three times a week, twice a day, to three groups. Moreover, the kids receive school supplies and are treated to lemonade and cookies made by Mrs. Gupta. God bless you, Virendra and Veena Gupta and Heera! May our precious children worldwide receive excellent education in divine providence.

Up next on Noteworthy News, United Kingdom survey finds more people choose plant-based products. It’s time for us to enjoy a stroll in the field to marvel at nature’s picturesque majesty. We’ll return with more beautiful news on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Supporting News for an Encouraging World.

Vegan products gaining in popularity according to United Kingdom survey.

Product of the Year, the largest product survey conducted in the UK, revealed that 44% of the population would choose plant-based items for the health benefits. Additionally, price was a deciding factor for 31%, while 25% cited environmental factors as a reason to adopt the planet-friendly diet. Research also showed that the surge in plant-based eating during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown has continued, as people pay closer attention to their diets. This year, the Meat-Free category was won by Richmond Meat-Free Sausages, produced by a large meat and dairy company, showing that the adoption of meat and dairy alternatives by large corporations is reaching mainstream proportions. Thank you for the very good news, Product of the Year. Congratulations, Richmond, on your delectable vegan sausages! May the United Kingdom’s ever-increasing shift to the peaceful and compassionate plant-based diet continue unabated, in Heavens loving Grace.

Mexican man shelters hundreds of animals in his home during a hurricane.

Ricardo Pimentel recently gave refuge to many animals at his home, evacuated from his large Tierra de Animales shelter located 30 kilometers southwest of Cancun, Mexico, to protect them from the approaching Hurricane Delta. This included about 300 dogs, dozens of cats, chickens, rabbits, a hedgehog, and a flock of sheep. The shelter, founded by Mr. Pimentel in 2011, is home to about 500 rescued animal residents, including goats, a bull and a cow. Some of the dog residents have been adopted by loving families in Mexico, Canada and the USA. A sign at the shelter reads: “Leave footprints of kindness for others to follow.” Such a glowing example of compassion, Ricardo Pimentel! We pray your shelter will always have sufficient support as you provide a home for countless beautiful beings.

Let's brighten up with a smile and a joke of the day called “Wrong Number.”

One morning the phone rang at 3:00 a.m. in Jeff's house. He picked up the phone and a woman asked:

“Is this 555-1111?”

“No, this is 555-1112.”

“Oh, I'm sorry for disturbing you.”

“That's alright. I had to get up to answer the phone anyway.”

And now we have a heartline from Vivienne in the United States:

Dearest Master and Supreme Master TV Team, My daughter has asked me to share her message to Supreme Master TV. I have attached her recordings for you as well.

Dear Master, I am 6 years old and I love being vegan. I like the “joke of the day” and I thank You for making Supreme Master TV. I hope one day I can meet You and get initiation. Here is a poem I wrote for You; I love You!

Pigs are puppies dressed in pink They are the same if you just think Cats and cows go moo and meow If you want to stop the wars, you must start with shopping choice now!

Love a chicken, love a lamb Eating meat must be banned!

How do we eat their bodies and think it’s sane?

How do we eat their bodies and think it's humane?

How do we eat their bodies and cause such harm?

How do we eat their bodies and support such tortuous farms?

Think of all the animals who bleed, Just eat a vegan burger and they will all be freed Pigs are puppies dressed in pink, They are the same if you just think Cats and Cows go moo and meow if you want to stop the wars, you must start with vegan choice now!

Love a chicken, love a lamb Eating meat must be banned!

Love all sentient beings Meat, it must be banned!

Vivienne from the United States

Sweet Vivienne, We are happy to receive your cheerful note for Master and the meaningful vegan poem.

She has a message for you: “Delightful Vivienne, you are so gifted! Thank you for writing this enlightening poem and sharing it with us. Bravo for being vegan and waiting patiently for initiation. Master is proud of you! I, too, look forward to the ‘Joke of the Day’ on Noteworthy News. Keep up the good effort, and please share your poem with others. Many may benefit from reading it and, together with such creative ideas, World Vegan prayer, and Divine inspiration, we may speed our way to a vegan planet. I Love you too and big hug to you! May God bless you and your loved ones and may the optimistic American people all soon experience the joy of being vegan.”
