In today’s news, Japan supports United Nations World Food Programme in Nepal, new report details impact of pandemic on worldwide debt, people visit Blue Zones seeking health and longevity, engineers in Korea create foldable solar cell, teacher’s wallet is returned by kindly stranger in United States, survey finds people in United Kingdom ready to live more sustainably, and Washington hotel invites therapy dogs to visit National Guard guests.

Japan offers food assistance to the vulnerable in the Himalayas.

The government of Japan has given approximately US$3.5 million to the United Nations World Food Programme in Nepal. The funds are earmarked for the nutritional benefit of young women and their children in five districts that are susceptible to extreme weather and other challenges caused by the changing climate. Specialized nutritious food will be distributed to an estimated 19,000 toddlers and 49,700 mothers, thus boosting their health. In addition, community food banks will be established to provide ongoing sustenance to 25,000 families. It is expected that these efforts will increase dietary diversity for disadvantaged households, build community resilience, and strengthen the friendship between Japan and Nepal. The government of Japan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate. We offer our gratitude, Japan, for your caring contribution, and we applaud the World Food Programme’s ceaseless dedication. May the precious people of Nepal enjoy enhanced well-being, in the light of the Divine.

Global indebtedness rises dramatically during pandemic.

A study published by the Institute of International Finance (IIF), based in Washington, USA, reports that the response to COVID-19 in 2020 amounted to US$24 trillion in new debt. Half of that was the result of government support programs, while the rest came from businesses, banks and households. In relation to world economic output – referred to as gross domestic product – borrowing grew by 35%. This is more than double the rate during the financial crisis in 2009. Unfortunately, there are no signs of stabilization in the near future. In fact, global government debt is expected to increase by another US$10 trillion this year even as economies reopen. Our sincere appreciation, Institute of International Finance, for your candid assessments. We pray for humanity’s complete transition to a compassionate, plant-based lifestyle that will prevent future disasters and ensure more fulfilling lives for everyone.

Up next, people visit Blue Zones seeking health and longevity. We’ll take a moment to thank the computer numerically controlled machine operators, who load stock material, run parts, and measure dimensions of finished workpieces. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more brightening news.

Hi, energetic friends, I am Weston the vegan Warthog! If you want to know how I became so awesome, it was my plant-based diet. Try going vegan and see for yourself the difference it makes, inside and out. Here are some tips on how to prevent puppies from leaving you unwanted presents. First, when an accident happens, you need to clean it up and remove the smell completely. Any residual odor may encourage encores at the same spot. As a matter of fact, you should not let them watch as you work. They are often seeking attention and may find your response rewarding! Then, if the location is inside your house, spray the area with a mixture of white vinegar and water – as strong as your nose can tolerate. This is an inexpensive and non-toxic preventative that can be repeated as the vinegar smell dissipates. If the deed was done somewhere on your property outdoors, you can apply citronella oil instead. It is just as safe and will take much longer to fade away. Finally, be sure to keep a positive attitude and reward correct behavior with treats and praise. Effective training may require patience, but it is the best way to keep you and your four-legged friends happy. Thank you for your attention and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world! Now, the weather around the globe.

Exotic locations offer clues about longevity.

Researchers have identified five regions of the world where people live longer than average. The original investigative work involved drawing blue circles on a map, hence the term “Blue Zones” began to be used. These special places are found in Italy, Japan, California, Costa Rica and Greece. Community members typically enjoy unusually good health and remain active into their 90s. The reasons for these outcomes include diets that are plant-based, regular physical activity, close-knit social groups and a sense of spiritual purpose. Nowadays, the Blue Zones are getting more visitors. Hotels have started offering longevity programs that feature classes in meal preparation, outdoor exercise, yoga retreats and social events. The upward trend in tourism will also benefit recovering economies. In God’s benevolence, may we all forge a bright future founded on high thinking and simple compassionate living.

New solar technology could be applied to everyday items.

Engineers at Korea’s Pusan National University have developed the first solar cell that is fully foldable. The key to their success is carbon nanotubes (CNTs) that are thin and mechanically resilient. These are embedded in a polyimide substrate and coated with molybdenum oxide for extra conductivity. The result is an energy source that is only 7 microns thick, 80% transparent and has a power conversion efficiency of 15.2% – the highest rating of any photovoltaic cell using CNT conductors. What is more, the prototype remained intact after being folded over 10,000 times. This advancement could facilitate the integration of solar energy with automobiles, windows, wearable devices and even clothing. Kudos, Pusan National University engineers, and thank you for making golden-age technology more accessible. In Celestial wisdom, we pray that our scientific achievements will always be accompanied by spiritual progress.

Security system records surprise delivery.

Debra Glover-Crosby, an 8th-grade teacher in Florida, USA, was about to pay for her purchases at a discount department store when she realized her wallet was missing. Although she had enough cash to check out, she was upset about the inconvenience of having to replace her IDs and bank cards. When she got home, however, she was amazed to see the lost item waiting for her on her door step. Video footage captured by her doorbell camera revealed that a man had found the wallet and drove to her address to return it. After posting the recording on social media, Ms. Glover-Crosby was able to connect with the good Samaritan and personally thank him for his kindness. She also shared the story with her students as a lesson in human goodness. Heaven bless you, caring gentleman! Your actions bespeak your righteous upbringing and the limitless love of the Providence.

Coming up, survey finds people in United Kingdom ready to live more sustainably. We will take a moment to step outside and say hallo to our saucer magnolia tree. Its showy, fragrant pink blossoms surely deserve our appreciation. More outstanding news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Enhancing News for an Improving World.

Opinions of celebrities influence British society.

App development and digital product company 3 Sided Cube commissioned a survey in the United Kingdom to gain insights into public opinion about sustainability. An impressive 77% of respondents acknowledged the need to change their lifestyles. Of those, 59% gave credit to David Attenborough’s documentary A Life on Our Planet, where he endorses the plant-based diet. Others said they feel societal pressure to make greener choices while four out of 10 individuals have been persuaded by Greta Thunberg, a Shining World Heroine Award Recipient. Consumers also noted that in order to successfully deal with climate change, businesses and governments must act decisively with policies that support their personal adaptations. Three cheers, 3 Sided Cube, Sir David Attenborough and Greta Thunberg, for your noble endeavors. May humanity pull out all the stops and go vegan in order to preserve life as we know it, in Heaven’s abiding care.

Dogs bring love and evoke smiles.

When thousands of National Guard troops were recently called in to provide extra security in Washington, D.C, approximately 250 soldiers were staying for two months at the Hamilton Hotel, whose management wanted to express some gratitude for their service. They contacted the nonprofit organization People Animals Love (PAL), which sent a dozen therapy dogs to visit and interact with the uniformed men and women. In accordance with social distancing, the tail-waggers and their caregivers were positioned at various spots throughout the hotel. The happy event lasted only an hour, but the warm feelings it generated will remain a cherished memory. Many thanks, sweet canines from PAL, for your loving presence! Our hearts are gladdened by your thoughtful gesture, Hamilton Hotel. We join you in thanking the troops and pray for the arrival of lasting peace and harmony, in Heavenly upliftment.

Humor makes life easier. Here is today’s joke entitled, “Missing Cookies.”

“Peter! There were two vegan cookies in the cookie jar last night, but now there is only one. Do you have an explanation?”

“Uh, it must have been too dark and I didn’t see the other one.”

And now we have a heartline from Trí Tánh in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam:

Dear Master and Supreme Master Television team, Life is impermanent; everyone has to go through: “Birth, Aging, Sickness and Death.” My heart is telling me: “Death is not the end. I just naturally feel that I should be vegan and follow You to practice spiritually and connect with God.” Before, I was still eating meat, fish, egg… And I was listening to Master’s chanting tape every night, and watching Supreme Master Television. Master has unconditional love. Supreme Master Television broadcasted Master’s words: “If the world is vegan, then humanity will not suffer anymore, and there will be no war!” Âu Lạc (Vietnam) currently has a lot of vegan restaurants which charge only 10,000 Vietnamese dong (or less than 50 cents in United States dollars) for a meal in order to help more people eat vegan food. I wish Master great health and to be full of energy. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the whole Universe protect Master. I wish Supreme Master Television could help more and more people in the world to change to a vegan diet. I dearly wish Master to give me initiation in order for me to connect with God. Trí Tánh from Âu Lạc (Vietnam)

Benevolent Trí Tánh, We are grateful for your message and happy you support veganism as a way of life. You have understood that adopting a loving and compassionate diet is the only way to a perfect and peaceful world. May the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas continue to help you on your spiritual path and bring peace and liberation to you and your gentle co-citizens in Âu Lạc (Vietnam). In Celestial splendor, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master says: “Earnest Trí Tánh, as you know, Initiation is a very precious gift bestowed on those sincerely longing for eternal liberation. I hope you will pursue your spiritual quest so that your soul may earn this freedom. Please contact our representative to notify you when the next Initiation will take place. So, you may join us. May the Lord Buddha always guide you and your beautiful country of Âu Lạc (Vietnam) in the right and benevolent direction.”
