On March 27, 2018, American scientists announced a groundbreaking discovery in Nature’s Scientific Reports, the identification of a new structure in the human body called the “Interstitium.” “Scientists report that, through the latest advanced imaging technology, they have discovered a ‘highway’ of circulation within the human body. This network appears to be everywhere beneath the skin, surrounding arteries and veins, in the fibrous tissue between muscles, and around internal organs – it’s everywhere.” Following the scientific announcement of the “Interstitium,” scholars from countries with rich traditions in traditional medicine, such as China, observed a striking resemblance between the structure of the Interstitium and the meridian system described in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. After the discovery of the Interstitium, on April 2, 2021, the Life Science Research Institute of ENN Group, in collaboration with Harvard University Medical School, observed, for the first time, continuous fluorescent lines migrating along the acupoints of the meridian system in the human body. This observation provides even clearer evidence of the meridian system, which was discovered long ago by ancient renowned physicians. There is a surprising similarity between the perceptive abilities of ancient Chinese physicians and the philosophy of the seven chakras in Indian yogic tradition. The chakra system in Yoga consists of the Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra, and Crown Chakra. Among these, the Third Eye Chakra (Ajna Chakra) is the center of intuition and higher consciousness. When this chakra is awakened, one attains the ability to transcend ordinary reality and perceive what lies beyond the limits of physical sight. On December 2, 1999, after a meditation retreat in Cape Town, South Africa, Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) compassionately shared the following insight in response to a question about the Third Eye Chakra. “The Third Eye is the true eye of our being: ‘If your eyes be single, your whole body will be full of Light.’ That is the Third Eye. You see? Mostly we see the physical manifestation of God with the physical eyes, and if you want to see God as a non-manifested Being, we use the spiritual eye, which you call the Third Eye. In the physical body, the connection between Heaven and Earth is in that third-eye center. And actually, in the meditation time, sometimes you see that eye, a single eye, just like your eye, just one single eye. That’s called the Third Eye, or Spiritual Eye, or the Wisdom Eye, or Heavenly Eye. Whatever, it’s the same.”
