In Verona, Italy, at the esteemed Foundation for the Miniscalchi-Erizzo Museum (Fondazione Museo Miniscalchi-Erizzo), Dr. Federica Gigante of Cambridge University unearthed a remarkable find: an 11th-century Islamic astrolabe decorated with Arabic and Hebrew inscriptions. This rare artifact is one of the oldest of its kind, and only a few are known to exist in the world. “This isn’t just an incredibly rare object. It’s a powerful record of scientific exchange between Arabs, Jews, and Christians over hundreds of years.” The astrolabe symbolizes the cultural exchange during the Islamic Golden Age, which lasted from the 8th to 13th centuries. This period marked significant cultural and intellectual progress across the Islamic world and beyond.

Our Most Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) kindly shared Her thoughts during a phone call on May 18, 2021: “Actually, these two races are brothers and sisters, according to the Jewish story. They have the same Father, that is Abraham, their Patriarch. (Yes.) They all admitted that they share the same Father, same origin. So why they keep fighting, that is beyond me.”

The sages’ interpretation underscores a message of peace. There is always the possibility of reconciliation, mutual respect, and friendship. Abraham, the Patriarch of Judaism and Islam, loved both His sons. Laid to rest by both, Their unity in honoring Him at His burial symbolizes the potential for unity and harmony between Their descendants. “We are all humans. No matter if Palestinians or Israelis. I already have been praying for them both, and I have written the slogan like, ‘Heaven is watching: Stop warring.’ I don’t know if anyone listens. I wanted to remind them that we are all children of God and Heaven is always watching what we’re doing. So, we better do good instead, because the ‘Final Judgment,’ we cannot avoid. ‘As you sow, so shall you reap.’”
