It’s OK. Your meditation is definitely beneficial to your five generations. OK? If they are liberated, they go even higher. And it’s also good for you. Both your body and mind get rested. You’re more reconnected inside. Meditation at any time is always beneficial. If you can put everything down and meditate in an ashram like this, it’s definitely better. It’s not a waste of time. So, it’s very ideal if you can come here to meditate. […]

Hallo, anybody there? (Yes, Master. Yes.) Hallo! (Hallo, Master.) Hallo, everyone. (Hallo, Master.) OK. OK. I cannot come to see you every day. Understand? (Understand.) Long stay and short stay, for both the same. Is there translation? (No. Yes.) Hallo? Is there translation for the English speaking? (Yes, Master.) (Yes.) (Yes.) Yeah? (Yes. Yes, Master.) Oh, good, good. Sorry, guys, I cannot always see you every day. (We understand, Master. That’s OK.) I wanted to, but then… Oh, we had to take care of the dog-people. I had to take care of the dog[-people] because I don’t have good helpers. Like this morning, normally, the dog-people go in and out, and eat about (every) two, two and half hours maximum, but they [made] it four hours. And if I wasn’t there, probably they’d continue longer than that, and the dog[-people] cannot rest.

And then these days, many things to repair. And sometimes, I want to repair just a small thing, and then they repair bigger things and make more work. And then the dog[-people] have to move to a different place, and I have to move things, and I have to move. It’s not like I’m a man, just put on jeans and a T-shirt, and then I’m ready. My work is more complicated; have to move many things and clothes, make-up, shoes, and then the dog-people. Oh, it’s a very complicated kind of life. (Oh.) I thought I left my home, and then life would be simple, like a mendicant, a monk or something. But now, it has become more complicated. More complicated than when the Buddha was still alive. He didn’t have to take care of so much. I would like to have seen you, but I could not. I apologize. (It’s OK, Master.) I’m sorry.

And is the Indian still there? (Yes, Master.) Are you still there? (Yes, Master, I’m here still. I’m going on Monday morning.) OK. No, no. You stay as long as your karma permits. (Thank You so much, Master.) If you want to stay long, you can also. We’ll help you. (Thank You so much, Master.) But you have to go back home, right? How many children [do] you have? (Two children, Master.) And still young, right? (They’re grown up, Master.) What? (Yes.) Really? (Yes, Master.) You don’t look that old. (Thanks for that, Master. But I do feel that.) You still feel old? No, no. (Sometimes.) You cannot.

OK, listen. (Yes, Master.) I want to thank you. (I thank You, Master.) God, I don’t even have time to reply to the many notes that you wrote. I wanted to tell you you don’t need to cook for me every day like this. You came here (No, I love to, Master.) to meditate, not to work. (I’m trying to meditate, Master.) Yeah, I know. But you come here to meditate, not to cook for me. (Now I’ve got enough time; I should concentrate more on that time.) It’s OK, it’s OK. But I don’t want you to waste your precious time. (No.) You can’t just always come here. (No, a couple of hours for You in 24 hours is not a big deal, Master.) Thank you, thank you, thank you. I just didn’t want you to feel obliged. (I love to, Master. This is the best thing I’m having in my life.) Oh… (Yes. Yes.) Are you joking?

The food is delicious, and I share it with the in-house team, and they liked it very much. (Thank You so much, and I thank…) I can’t share with everybody, just several of them. (I’ll try to make a bit more generously, Master.) Enough, enough. No, no, no, please, no. No. It’s just because I don’t eat a lot, so there’s still a lot left. It’s enough for them. (OK.) If you make more, then I have to find more time to share with more people then. (OK.) And still never enough. (Yes, thank You, Master.) I would like to share with everybody, but then you don’t have ingredients, and you don’t have enough manpower to cook for all these thousands, so we just keep quiet, OK? (OK.) Don’t tell anybody, don’t tell them.

(Master, can I tell You something?) Yes, please. (I’m not sure, I haven’t seen the calendar for a few days, I’m not sure with the date and time or anything. Either today or tomorrow is the New Year for the Tamil people and Sinhalese people. I know You have been to Sri Lanka,) Yes. (done a lot of lectures there.) Yes. (I’m not sure, I believe there are a lot of Sinhalese disciples of Yours too. They’ll be very happy if You wish them [something], Master.) Sure, sure! Are they there? No, huh? (I’m not sure) OK. (if any Sinhalese are here, but through our [Supreme Master] TV, if You had a chance to wish them or send some Blessing to them.) They are making… (The whole Tamil Nadu [Indian state] as well as Sri Lanka.) They are making some Sikh calendar, (Oh, OK.) Sikh New Year already. (OK.) So, I’m not sure if they are together or not. (OK, Master. Just from Your heart is also fine or just a few lines saying [something] to them.)

Oh, for you, it’s just a few lines. For us, we have to assemble a lot of information and pictures, and translate into 20-something languages. (Yes, yes.) And I have to catch up with many other programs. This is the problem, but thank you for that. Thank you for reminding. I will ask them if it’s possible, and I don’t even know when. (OK, Master. That’s OK, I can understand that... OK. It doesn’t have to be even in words or anything, from You to them, the whole state.) You are Sinhalese? You are Sinhalese people? Are you? Do you have something to do with Sri Lanka? (No, I was born in Tamil Nadu and brought up in Tamil Nadu, Master. So, nothing to do with Sri Lanka, I’m just telling. I haven’t seen any lectures in Tamil, but I have seen in Sinhalese, so I thought I’d better tell You that too.) Thank you, thank you, anyway. Normally, I don’t remember all this. (That’s OK, Master.) There are also different… (I know Your Blessings are there for everyone, every being in this world.) Yes. (But that’s OK, Master.) OK, thank you.

Anyway, don’t cook for me anymore. This is not good if you come here to retreat and meditate, and then you have to work. You don’t have to. Normally, that’s why I don’t have a special cook for me. I just eat with the public, everybody the same, exactly the same. (Master, I’ve got 23 hours to meditate. Just one hour, two hours is OK for You, Master.) I feel embarrassed if I’m treated so special. Normally, I eat like everyone else, so I don’t have an extra cook. (This is a gift for me from You, Master, if You allow me to do.) You cook so good. (This is a gift for me.) You cook so good. Suppose I get addicted to your food and then you’re not here, what am I to do? Move to Tamil? Huh?

(I can teach someone probably, and do a little bit of preparation, or some recipes in the kitchen, then they can follow that.) OK, you can try, but it’s not the same. I’m telling you. Because the Indians, sometimes, I go to different Indian shops, they cook differently. (Yes, Master.) Even the same recipe but does not taste the same because it depends on the cook. (You’re right, Master.) Yeah, you know that, right? (Yeah, even at home, like one day is different, next day is different. Even at home, one day is different taste; the next day is different.) Oh, really? (Yes, Master.)

Oh, no, it’s not true, because you cook the idli (Indian savory rice cake) (Yes.) – it’s the same, like last time. (Yes. The other day, I made with the mix, Master. Today, our brothers and sister bought the rice and lentils, everything, so, it’s made from scratch in our kitchen.) Oh, my God. Because I don’t know how you do it. It’s only vegetables and you make magic. Thank you. But you don’t have to. Save your time for your purpose. (That’s OK, Master. Thank You again.) Thank you anyway, very, very much.

(They announced this food as a healthy breakfast, Master. I think they did some research or something. I don’t know which organization, some health organization or I don’t know, someone made a big deal in the international level and they announced this food as very healthy. Because for vegetarians [vegans], this is very good; B12 is there, it’s fermented food. So, we have our B12 every day, we can get it in our breakfast. And also, the protein is there in the lentils, and the carb is there in the rice. So, it balances our daily need, whatever our basic need.) So, we should all go to India if we want to look healthier. Anyway, it tastes so good; everybody likes it. Everywhere they open an Indian (vegan) restaurant, it’s always very popular. (Thank You again, Master. You don’t have to mention, Master. It’s OK.) Yeah, it is really good, the Indian (vegan) food. Or maybe I just miss it because I’m homesick. I didn’t stay away from India that long [ago], you know? (Yes.) I’ve been there, that’s why. OK, thank you, my love. I’ll talk to the Chinese (Taiwanese [Formosan]) now. (OK, thank You, Master.) Thank you anyway, for your love.

Are there many people here today? More than 1,000? Are there 2,000? No idea. (One thousand four hundred and thirty-five.) Oh! So few. OK. Never mind. Because there’s nothing special (today). People don’t always have time. It’s OK. Your meditation is definitely beneficial to your five generations. OK? (Thank You, Master.) If they are liberated, they go even higher.

I cannot come to see you often. I cannot see you every day. Nor can I often see you. I have a lot of work, and there’s the hindrance of maya as well. Maya complicates my life terribly. I have to move even within my own place. I’ve been moving frequently up to now, and it’s quite tiring because there’s less stability. And… There are many things. Dog[-people] also have to move. If I don’t take care of them, they’d get sick, and so on. But if I take care of them, a lot of things can’t get done. There are too many things to do for one person. Understand? (Understand.) Please understand that I cannot see you often. But if you come here to meditate, it’s very good for you too. I am also here. (OK.)

One more thing. Are the contact persons here? Have you found more homeless people to look after? Have you got to it yet? Does anybody know? Nobody knows? (Yes.) OK, then later… Maybe I’ll be free tomorrow. Then I’ll come out. You can report to me then. Alright. I just wanted to say hallo to everyone. You continue to meditate then. OK? Enjoy your blessings. (Thank You, Master.) Alright. God bless. Good. I wish you peace, good meditation, and rapid progress. Bye-bye. (Bye-bye, Master.) OK. Thank you.
