In today’s news, Japan supports Libyans facing food insufficiency, millions unable to continue working in United States due to long COVID-19, young businesswomen in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, create natural drinking straws from reeds, researchers from Singapore design wearable robot to prevent falls, artists transform wreckage of war into art in Ukraine, Korean food manufacturer launches vegan meal range, and hero cat-person in United Kingdom saves caregiver’s life.

Japan provides food aid to Libya.

The Japanese government has provided the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) almost US$2 million to enable it to provide critical food assistance to 18,500 vulnerable people, in the east, west and south of the country. The recipients include internally displaced persons, returnees, host communities, and others who are struggling to meet their needs after the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and soaring food prices caused by the war in Ukraine. WFP is using a portion of the donation from Japan to fund the “School Feeding Programme” that will benefit students as well as boost the economy by supporting local markets and agriculture, and creating job opportunities. Japan is a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate. We laud you, Japan, for your gracious contribution, and World Food Programme, for your collaboration, that assists those most in need. May the people of Libya be uplifted and prosper, in Allah’s magnificent Grace.

Millions in United States cannot work due to long COVID-19.

A recent report by The Brookings Institution in the US has revealed that up to four million citizens in the nation are out of work because of long COVID symptoms. The situation is thought to have caused at least US$170 billion in lost wages annually as people struggle with ailments, such as brain fog, joint and muscle pain, fatigue, heart palpitations, dizziness, chest pains and more. The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis also estimated that as of mid-2021, 26% of Americans with long COVID-19 were not working or had reduced their hours. Thank you, The Brookings Institution and Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, for warning of the dangers of long COVID and its effects on people’s ability to support themselves and their families. In the wisdom of the Providence, may humanity quickly take action to halt the spread of zoonotic diseases by adopting a vegan way of life. Vegan: wellness n fun.

Up next on Noteworthy News, young businesswomen in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, create natural drinking straws from reeds. We’ll just take a little time to thank the fabric doll makers who design beautiful, custom handmade dolls that children love playing with.

Hi, generous viewers! I am Gordon, a vegan chap from the Gooty Tarantula kingdom! Wherever I go, I bring the spirit of benevolence and the wholesome plant-based lifestyle with me as my precious companions. Why don’t you do the same, and our world will just lovingly be transformed! I would like to share with you a neat tip on how to perfectly hang pictures on the wall. First, apply a strip of painters tape along the back of the frame. Mark the tape precisely where the nails or screws should be placed. Then, take the marked tape and apply it on the wall where you want your photos to hang. Please use a level to ensure the tape is sitting straight. If you wish to hang two frames next to one another, repeat these steps for the second frame, making sure the pieces of tape are aligned. Hammer in the nails or place the screws at the spots previously marked on the tape. Lastly, peel off the tape and hang your pictures! Ta-da! Now you are ready to show off your wall! Thank you for tuning in and love you a lot for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet, thus save the world! Now for the weather around the globe.

Young entrepreneurs in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, create straws from reeds instead of plastic.

Đinh Thúy Phương of Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, together with her group of friends, researched plastic straw alternatives and began growing straight reeds to produce straws with uniform quality for use in any kind of hot or cold drink. Currently, the natural product is exported to North America and Korea, and helps to promote a circular economy as well as reduce plastic waste. We praise the creative spirit of Ms. Phương and colleagues for producing environmentally friendly straws. May there soon be more wonderful green products such as these for a cleaner world, in Divine brilliance.

Singaporean researchers develop robot to help mature-aged people avoid falls.

Scientists from the Nanyang Technological University and Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore have developed a wearable robot that can detect when a person may fall and prevent it from happening. The Mobile Robotic Balance Assistant (MRBA) is worn around the hips of a person and contains sensors that can immediately detect a loss of balance and catch the user before they are injured. MRBA can also help people stand up from a chair, as well as walk and stay upright. What a great idea, researchers from Singapore, to develop a machine to help people remain safe when their balance is compromised. In the blessings of Heaven, may our dedication and love for one another help to create a world of peace among all beings.

Artists bring color to war-affected Ukrainian city of Irpin.

A project called “Flowers of Hope,” involves turning piles of burned and destroyed vehicles into works of art. A group of artists from Ukraine and the United States have painted the wreckage with brilliant sunflowers, Ukraine’s national flower and a symbol of commemoration of those who have lost their lives. They plan to also sell digital images of the works as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to raise money for humanitarian projects in Ukraine. Trek Thunder Kelly, a Los Angeles, USA-based muralist who initiated the project, shared, “They want to beautify these distressed areas until they can be rebuilt, so… there’s some brightness and color and nature springing up out of the ruins, in a type of rebirth.” Our appreciation to all involved in this hope-filled action. In God’s watchful Gaze, may all Ukrainians rise up and restore their nation with unwavering strength. “Go ahead n have an abortion: then u’ll know what eternal hell is.”

Coming up, Korean food manufacturer launches vegan meal range. Let’s pause for a moment to learn about Nan Madol: Ceremonial Centre of Eastern Micronesia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on Temwen Island in the Federated States of Micronesia. It spans over 18 square kilometers, sits on top of coral reef flats, and is believed to have been constructed between 1200 and 1500 AD with giant megalithic stones, that some say were magically flown to the island.

Korean food producer releases vegan meal line.

Founded in 1981, food company Pulmuone of Korea recently debuted meatless dishes made with textured vegetable protein (TVP), including dumplings, spicy rice cake, noodles in black bean sauce and rice bowls. The distinctive TVP recipe was created by partnering with Korean enterprises Danisco Nutrition and Biosciences, and Ingredion. In the future, the firm will launch meat-free ham products and gagnjeong, which are deep-fried rice puffs coated in syrup. Earlier this year, the vegan restaurant Plantude was started by Pulmuone in Seoul. We applaud your wise decision to create plant-based Korean foods, Pulmuone. In Celestial radiance, may all food companies manufacture vegan fare to preserve our beautiful planet.

Hero cat-person in United Kingdom alerts caregiver of heart attack.

A normally quiet feline-individual in Stapleford, Nottingham, UK, 7-year-old Billy, pounded on his human companion Sam Felstead’s chest at 4:30 am and meowed loudly in her ear. Upon waking up, Ms. Felstead realized that she could not move her body and had severe pain on her right side. She was able to call her mother and was quickly rushed to the hospital. The doctors found that one of Ms. Felstead’s arteries was blocked, which led to her heart attack. Ms. Felstead was allowed to go home after a three day hospital stay. Lauding Billy, she said, “I do think he saved my life and so does everybody else around me.” We pray for Sam Felstead’s swift recovery, and bravo, smart and life-protecting Billy! We wish that you and your beloved caregiver share many more healthy and safe years to come, in Divine kinship.

It’s now time for some guffaws with the joke of the day entitled “Are you Okay?”

There was a new middle school substitute teacher standing outside his classroom with his forehead against a locker, saying:

“How did you get yourself into this?”

Knowing he was assigned to a difficult class, another teacher approached him and tried to offer a little moral support.

“Is everything alright?”

He lifted his head and replied:

“Thank you. But, I’ll be fine as soon as I get this kid out of his locker.”

?!

And now we have a heartline from Wen-Kai in China:

To: Supreme Master TV team During Supreme Master Ching Hai’s conference on August 8, Master worried so much about world peace. Meanwhile, She expressed Her sincere Love to the Taiwanese (Formosan) people, as well as acknowledged China for taking care of their own folk. It moved me to tears many times.

When watching the broadcasts of historic meetings like the ones between Xi Jinping and Ma Ying-jeou, Hu Jintao and Lien Chan, and between Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS) from China and the Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) from Taiwan (Formosa), I seemed to see hope again. At this critical moment where war could be triggered at any time, those historic scenes are telling us that through peace talks, China and Taiwan (Formosa) could regain mutual confidence, see through Pelosi’s plot to destroy peace for her own benefit, and work together with wisdom and calmness to maintain peace and stability.

From this, I realized a truth: “As you sow, so shall you reap; what you have now is what you’ve sown in the past.” All the disasters happening on Earth now are the manifestation of the result or the exchange of the same frequencies or relative energies. Killing karma is the main cause. So, if you truly long for everlasting peace, please stop all killing, change your habit, and turn to the low-carbon vegan lifestyle. Respect nature, comply with nature, regard nature with awe, and coexist in harmony with nature; that’s the everlasting peace and unification that we really want.

Thank you, the Supreme Master TV team, for your selfless dedication. Thank You, Supreme Master Ching Hai, for Your immense mercy and compassion. Wen-Kai from peace-loving China

Attentive Wen Kai, We appreciate your wise words. May our Benevolent Master’s vision for World Vegan soon materialize, as more people become increasingly aware of the severe consequences of their actions, including inciting bloodshed between persons and the harming of our animal friends. May you and your diplomatic Chinese co-citizens enjoy Buddha’s blessings, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master shares Her thoughts with you: “Peace treasuring Wen-Kai, declaration of war between nations does not lead to anything constructive, but only to sorrow and massive loss of life. The solution is right here: Be Vegan, Make Peace. Praying that you and the pacific Chinese people enjoy prosperity. May the relations between brotherly China and Taiwan (Formosa) quickly become harmonious and peaceful.”

“We’re told Islam requires us to slaughter humanely. What exactly, is ‘humane’ slaughter? The word humane is defined as: having or showing compassion or benevolence. How does one ‘compassionately’ or ‘benevolently’ cut someone’s throat? Doesn’t the act of killing by definition negate any benevolence?” ~ Sammer Hakim (vegan)
