In today’s news, Sudan receives food aid from Japan, Turkish organization provides pandemic support in Serbia, wind energy production rises in Australia, research confirms health benefit of coal power reduction, bionic hand improves quality of life for British teen, Spanish vegan food company continues outstanding growth, and Chinese doctor protects wildlife in his spare time.

Japan provides nutritional aid to children and mothers in Sudan.

The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, donated US$1 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) in Sudan to treat acute malnutrition. WFP will collaborate with district health centers, local government and other partners, to purchase 190 tons of specialized nutritious foods for pregnant women, nursing mothers, and 127,000 children under the age of five in the Central and West Darfur states. Our sincere appreciation, Japan and World Food Programme, for enabling Sudanese kids to grow to their full potential and thus strengthen the country’s development and prosperity. May our world’s beloved young generations and their families thrive in Heaven’s overflowing compassion.

Turkey, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate, supports production of vital protective items in Serbia.

As part of an initiative launched by Hatice Women’s Association of southern Serbia to help overcome the COVID-19 pandemic, Turkey’s national foreign aid agency, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), has contributed sewing machines and materials necessary for the production of protective masks, disinfectants and soaps in Serbia. Volunteers of the Association assemble the items which are then supplied to community members in need. Currently, more than 20,000 masks and hundreds of disinfectants and soaps have been made and distributed. Our hearts are touched. Thank you, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, and all involved at the Hatice Women’s Association of Serbia. May we continue to help one another in times of need as we pray for a healthier, more virtuous world, in Celestial oneness.

Up next on Noteworthy News, wind energy production rises in Australia. We now pause to thank the semiconductor processor technicians, who make the tiny microchips that are an essential part of computers and other electronic devices. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more pleasant news.

Good day, compassionate friends! I’m Daisy the Alpaca and others say I look younger and cool, ah because I’m vegan! Here is a tip for cooking for a larger number of people, which can be overwhelming and time-consuming. Instead of stirring up multiple dishes, focus your energy on making one great course. Pasta is a terrific option for a main dish, as it can serve many guests without costing a lot of money or time. There is a variety of pretty simple pasta dishes you can make, such as vegan lasagna, macaroni and vegan cheese, or vegan baked ziti. Thank you for your attention and lots of love for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all humans and us all co-inhabitants. Now, the worldwide weather.

Australian wind farm goes online to deliver power to the grid.

The 57-megawatt Cherry Tree Wind Farm project in Seymour, Victoria, has begun operations. It will power about 37,000 Australian homes and save 200,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year once it becomes fully operational. The project was developed by John Laing Group PLC, a United Kingdom-headquartered international renewable energy company, and the site is now managed by Australian clean energy supplier Infigen Energy. Earlier this year, the Australian government, a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion recipient and a Shining World Leadership Awards for High Moral Value and Health Guardian laureate, announced that it is on track to having almost 50% of its energy come from renewable sources by 2030. Nice work, John Laing Group, Infigen Energy, and the government of Australia. In the new vegan era ahead, may we discover more ways to go green, in God’s brilliance.

Study measures benefits of reducing coal emissions to lung health.

In a study conducted between 2012 and 2016, scientists determined that following the restrictions and retirement of coal-fired plants, asthma inhaler use, plus related hospitalizations and emergency room visits, fell by as much as 55% in some areas with coal plants. The research, published in the scientific journal Nature Energy, followed 207 people in Louisville, Kentucky, United States, who kept track of using their inhalers both before and after local coal plants had retired or installed stricter pollutant controls. Average inhaler use decreased immediately by 17% overall and by 32% for higher-usage individuals. Thank you, researchers, for highlighting the importance of avoiding coal as an energy source. In Heaven’s grace, may all nations soon make the switch to clean energy to preserve humans’ health and happiness.

British teen receives world’s first medically certified 3D-printed bionic hand.

Created by Open Bionics, a United Kingdom-based company dedicated to developing low-cost bionic hands, fourteen-year-old Aimee Ashton’s new left hand is powered by batteries and controlled by sensors that respond to signals from her muscles. The happy teen reported that experiencing the movements of the bionic arm was like possessing a superpower. Aimee can now finally ride a bike like her friends, and will soon be able to learn to drive and also pursue her dream of becoming an art teacher. We are joyous to hear of your newfound mobility, Aimee. Many thanks, Open Bionics, for helping to improve people’s lives with your remarkable technology. In the joy of the Providence, may such beneficial and cool inventions be made more widely available.

Coming up, Spanish vegan food company continues outstanding growth. It’s time for us to take the compost out to our garden, where it will improve the soil structure and health of the plants. We’ll be right back with more laudable news here on Supreme Master Television.

Chinese doctor protects wildlife in his spare time.

Dr. Yang Xiaodong, vice president of the Heshun People’s Hospital in Shanxi province, China, has been safeguarding the diverse wild animals of the Taihang Mountains where he lives, for over two decades since 1999. The area is home to wildlife such as wild boars, north China leopards, red foxes, and roe deer. In 2018 with support from the local government, Dr. Yang formed an ecological protection association, whose 100 volunteers now patrol the mountains and safeguard the animals from poachers. Using his medical expertise, Dr. Yang has also treated 300 to 400 sick or injured animals thus far. May Buddhas bless you, Dr. Yang Xiaodong and all team members, for spending your precious time to vigilantly look after the majestic animals of China. We pray that all wildlife may live peacefully in their natural environments.
