In today’s news, Japan contributes to education for Syrian children, scientists study space hurricane over North Pole, researchers in the United Kingdom identify viruses endemic to human intestines, European Union supports project to upgrade hospitals in Morocco, doctor in United States drives through snowstorm to save premature baby, Dutch company introduces tempeh production system to India, and volunteers refloat stranded whales in New Zealand.

UNICEF’s education initiative backed by Japan.

The hardships inflicted by 10 years of crisis plus the coronavirus pandemic have drastically diminished learning opportunities for children in Syria. The government of Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Generosity, and Animal Protection laureate, has donated US$7.8 million to support the efforts of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in the country. The funds will be used to provide knowledge and skills that prepare young people for future employment. Additional priorities to be addressed are child protection services as well as ensuring that basic water and sanitation facilities are in place at schools and in communities. We sincerely appreciate your generosity, Japan, and applaud the ongoing commitment of UNICEF to the well-being of the population. In the abundant mercy of Allah, may Syria soon see brighter days with equitable opportunities for all.

Scientists prove the existence of plasma storms.

In August 2014, a concentration of magnetic field lines and solar wind energy combined to create a swirling auroral spot in Earth’s upper atmosphere above the North Pole. What is now being referred to as a “space hurricane” was detected at the time by satellites and only later uncovered by researchers at Shandong University in China and the University of Reading in England. The teams determined from a 3D computer simulation that the mass of ionized gas had a diameter of more than 1,000 kilometers, with multiple arms that rotated in a counterclockwise direction around a calm center. For almost eight hours it rained electrons into the Earth’s ionosphere, confirming the reality of such phenomena. Remarkable work, university scientists! We are at once awed by the mysteries of the physical universe and inspired to know their source.

Up next, researchers in the United Kingdom identify viruses endemic to human intestines. We’ll take a moment to thank the toxicologists who study the safety and biological effects of drugs, chemicals, agents and other substances on living organisms. Please stay tuned to Supreme Master Television for more enriching news.

Hi, adorable friends! I’m BJ the vegan Barred Eagle-Owl. Here’s some food for thought: People who are truly strong don’t put others down; they lift them up. That’s why we animals regard vegans as the strongest people in the world. Are you one of them? Now, here’s a tip on making a toy for your cat. Take a sock and fill it with catnip. Add a jingle bell and some crumpled paper. Close the end of the sock and secure it with a double-knotted shoelace. Finally, toss it over and let the fun begin! Thank you for tuning in and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet thus save the world. Now, the global weather.

New study explores components of the human bowel ecosystem.

Not all viruses are harmful, and many that are endemic to the human gut actually help to regulate the microbial environment. For example, bacteriophages are a type of virus that can infect bacteria and contribute to our health. Recently, scientists at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and the European Bioinformatics Institute in the United Kingdom finished analyzing more than 28,000 gut microbiome samples from around the world. By using a DNA-sequencing method known as metagenomics, they were able to produce a catalog of almost 143,000 unique viral genomes. Their Gut Phage Database will be a valuable resource for future research into the role that bacteriophages play in protecting the lower end of the human digestive system. Well done, all participating researchers! Heaven surely smiles on your diligent service to humanity as more people nourish themselves with plant-based diets.

Moroccan health services receive boost from European investment.

The financial arm of the European Union, the European Investment Bank (EIB), has been backing key projects in Morocco for several decades. In response to the Moroccan Health Ministry’s recent hospital reform initiative, EIB provided a grant of more than €13 million and a loan worth €70 million. The funds were used to upgrade 16 of the Kingdom’s hospitals with modern infrastructure and equipment. One facility in particular, Hospital of Salé, was chosen to serve as a regional care center for COVID-19 patients. The European Union is a recipient of four Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism, two Shining World Leadership Awards for Peace, and a Shining World Leadership Award for Earth Protection; as well as a laureate of two Shining World Leadership Awards for Humanitarianism and Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Unconditional World Care and True Caring. Our heartfelt appreciation, European Union, EIB and Morocco Ministry of Health, for taking steps to improve working conditions for medical personnel and outcomes for the precious patients. May the welcoming Moroccan people enjoy good health and fulfilling lives, in the overflowing love of Allah.

Neonatal specialists risk their own safety for newborn.

As winter weather was blanketing Texas, USA, with snow and ice, Kimberly Arias began having labor pains. She was only 24 weeks pregnant but gave birth to a tiny daughter at a nearby hospital. The infant, named Zaylynn, weighed just over 600 grams. The facility lacked the life support that premature babies need, so staff members called around for assistance. Finally, they reached Dr. John Loyd at Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, 81 kilometers away. He agreed to load his SUV with emergency equipment and drive through the snowstorm with two experienced nurses to help little Zaylynn. Thanks to their expertise, the baby’s condition stabilized and she was transported by helicopter to Dell Children’s the next day. God bless you, Dr. Loyd, nurses and all involved personnel for saving Zaylynn’s life. We pray that Heaven’s choicest blessings will always be with you.

Coming up, Dutch company introduces tempeh production system to India. We will take a moment to reflect on the magic of photosynthesis – converting light energy into chemical energy, creating carbohydrates from water and carbon dioxide, and generating oxygen as a byproduct. More gladdening news when we return! Please stay with us here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Uplifting News for a Caring World.

Plant-based foods specialist provides tempeh and jobs.

Schouten Europe pioneered Dutch meat alternatives during the 1990s. The firm expanded over the years and delivers to customers in 50 countries. Now, it has launched an innovative production concept in Bangalore, India. Protein-rich tempeh is being produced in a small-scale fermentation unit (SFU) that is monitored for quality control from the Netherlands. This arrangement yields several benefits. The company can use domestic soybeans and help support local farmers. Distribution of the tempeh is limited to a radius of 10 kilometers, with 60% being packaged for sale and the rest going to meals for schoolchildren. Schouten Europe hopes to have at least 100 SFUs in operation by 2025 and will be employing hundreds of Indian workers and will pay them fair wages that will uplift their families. Kudos, Schouten Europe, for your enlightened business model! May more decision-makers consider the impact of their plans on the well-being of the planet.

Stranded pilot whales in New Zealand are refloated.

A 26-kilometer hook of sand called Farewell Spit has been the site of numerous strandings in New Zealand. Scientists theorize that a shallow seabed somehow interferes with the mammals’ ability to navigate. Recently, a pod of approximately 50 whales beached and needed help. Animal rescue organization Project Jonah, a Shining World Compassion Award recipient, dispatched dozens of volunteers to push the animals back into the water. Sadly, at least 15 of the blackfish died, and 28 of the survivors got stranded a second time. Dedicated personnel from the charity refloated the pilot whales and rocked them gently from side to side, helping to restore their equilibrium. With the arrival of high tide, the pod reunited in the safety of deeper waters, to the relief of everyone. Awesome teamwork, Project Jonah! We pray that your service to marine mammals will inspire others to respect and protect our friends in the sea.

Have you heard “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”? How about “Some laughter each day brings happiness your way”? Here’s a joke for you entitled “Wrong Question.”

Glen and Amy Nichols decided to change the wallpaper in their apartment but didn’t know how many rolls to buy. Amy said to her husband:

“Honey, I heard that the new tenant upstairs just repapered his place, and it’s the same floor plan as ours. Why don’t you ask him how many rolls he bought?”

So Glen went upstairs and knocked on the man’s door. When it opened, Glen said:

“Hi, I’m Glen Nichols from downstairs. My wife wants me to ask you how many rolls of wallpaper you bought for your apartment.”

“16 rolls.”

“OK, thanks a lot. Sorry to bother you.”

So Glen and Amy bought 16 rolls, repapered their unit and were surprised to find they had six rolls left over. The next time Glen saw the tenant from upstairs, he said:

“Hey, neighbor! My wife and I did what you said and bought 16 rolls of wallpaper. But when we finished the job, there were six rolls left over.”

“Yeah, I had six extra rolls left too.”

And now we have a heartline from Nature Lover in China:

Hallo Supreme Master TV saints! The sound and pictures of Supreme Master TV are very beautiful. These beautiful programs must have been made by very high-level saints. A lot of love is constantly emitting from the pictures and sound of the TV broadcast, floating from the screen into the air and into the soil. I hope everyone plays it every day.

A few months ago, I saw on the road a small bird that couldn’t fly. When I gently picked him/her up, the bird walked onto my fingers. While I was pondering where would be safe for him/her, the bird suddenly flew up to a tall tree. I then realized that the bird was extraordinary. After my students heard about this, they all said they would definitely help the animals in trouble. Attached is a picture of the bird and a poem.

“Don’t judge by appearance While cycling, I saw on the road a bird. Thought he/she might have fallen and could not fly. Holding the bird in my hand, he/she was not scared. Trying to find him/her a safe place in the grass, he/she suddenly flew high.”

I believe animals around the world will definitely be treated with love and kindness. The wish of our great Master will definitely come true. May Master be forever in peace, good health, happiness and joy! Nature Lover from China

Thoughtful Nature Lover, We enjoyed reading your heartline. Blessed are you for your lovely encounter with God’s amiable creation. When you observe nature closely and gently listen to its whispers, your life will be full of amazement, and your wisdom will deepen steadily. Thank you for teaching our young children this beautiful message. May you and the lively Chinese people continue living with open minds and hearts guided by the Cosmic Benevolent Beings, Supreme Master TV team

P.S. Master said: “Graceful Nature Lover, it was a pleasure to read your poem. Your pure vegan vibe reassured the bird that you are a friend, that’s why the little one was not afraid. It just needed your extra benevolent energy to quickly recover. The bird trusted you. We certainly must do all we can to help our animal neighbors when possible. They fill our world with tremendous blessings daily, very humbly and quietly. May the immeasurable kindness of the Buddhas be upon you and diligent China. By the way, thank you for being a good example of a saintly Quan Yin practitioner, that earns the trust from all beings on Earth. I am proud of you!!”
